Every guardrail here exists for the same reason: no single person — manager or otherwise — should be able to move a group's money without the group's say-so.
Supermajority, every time
60–80% of the group's weighted vote has to approve a trade before it happens, depending on group size. No manager acts unilaterally, ever.
Managers put their own money in
Every proposed trade includes the manager's own contribution — 10% of that trade, every time — alongside everyone else's. Never just their word.
One partner, if we ever go there
If Investcactus ever holds real funds, they'd move through a single regulated banking partner — never a manager's personal account, and never split across multiple banks.
Encrypted, always
Data is encrypted at rest and in transit on our AWS infrastructure, with access tightly restricted to what each system actually needs.
Pressure has no place here.
We don't allow anyone to recruit members through personal or romantic relationships, pressure someone into contributing more than they're comfortable with, or promise guaranteed or unusually high returns to get people to join or invest. If something in a group ever feels like a pitch instead of a conversation, that's not how Investcactus is supposed to work — and it's against our rules.
Built on AWS, encrypted throughout.
Every account runs on Amazon Web Services infrastructure, with data encrypted both at rest and in transit. Access to production systems is limited to what's actually needed, and we watch for unusual activity as a matter of course — not just after something goes wrong.
A pilot, not a finished product.
Investcactus is currently a self-funded educational pilot. No real money is collected, held, or invested today, and there's no guarantee that real-money functionality will ever launch. If it does, it'll be a separate, clearly-labeled step you choose to opt into — never something your practice balance turns into automatically.
